Use this guide to help you make better food choices for healthier living, get information on our weight management service and access support for meals at home.

Public Health England's Better Health Healthier Families information provides tools to help you and your child manage your weight. It can help you to make healthier choices, by providing the most up-to-date evidence-based healthy eating advice in a magazine format.

On the 'Healthy growth and weight' section you can:

  • check your child's body mass index (BMI)
  • support your child with their weight
  • sign up for healthy steps emails

The NHS Better Health page for adults includes a 12-week weight loss plan, skills to prevent weight gain and how to keep track of your calorie intake.
